(Public Law 106-345). Under the Act, no more than 80,000 of the gold coins and 400,000 of the silver dollars were allowed to be issued. Also, these strikes were to feature the standard specifications for similar commemorative coins. As such, the gold coins were struck from a composition of 90% gold to a diameter of .850 inches. The silver dollars were composed of 90% silver and had a diameter of 1.5 inches.
