CUSTOM FANTASY CHESS SET with INLAY BOARD, PLEXI COVER
DWARVES, CENTAURS FANTASY KING, QUEEN AND BISHOP
Pictured here is an all original custom fantasy chessboard. The figures have been cast mostly from Prince August UK chess set molds.  I did not care for the pawns, knights or castles so I made additional molds for these from Prince August character molds and used Ral Parth centaurs for the knights.  Hand painted and coated with resin spray for safety and long lasting finish. Four crossbowmen, two mace and two axemen make up the dwarven pawns. I am not sure where I got the mini-castles. Taller Prince August chess pieces are probably 54mm. Chessboard is constructed with mahogany inlay pieces glued to particleboard.  The base is 12 1/2 inches with a boarder ornate trim and step up to the board of 1 inch squares of pine and mahogany. The bottom is covered with maroon faux leather to protect table surfaces.   I am not a chess player but I believe the two colors distinguish each player well. A plexiglass cover fits neatly onto the chess layout resting on the lower level.
This is a totally original, hand constructed, painted set for display or use.
