The wood portion of board is ornately carved with a dragon motif and set off by gold-colored hardware.
The playing surface of the board is comprised of solid black tiles and white tiles with colorful Asian-themed images on them. Slide out drawers under the board contain brown and green (soapstone replica) playing pieces of historic figures.
