To satisfy the most discerning orchestral percussionist, Evans has created a synthetic head with a higher degree of pretension than any other. A chrome-plated steel insert ring delivers the desired effect when pedaled and affords additional support once the head is tensioned via the counterhoop. Magnificent at ppp with soft mallets, yet will not break up or sound harsh at fff.
The Orchestral Timpani heads are designed with moderate pre-tension to ensure proper seating and tuning. The 7.5mil film provides an immediate pitch, a clear sustain, and a slightly thicker tone with more body.

CASH ONLY FOR LOCAL PICK UPS.  If buyer pays with paypal, we will refund payment and buyer will need to bring exact cash at time of pick up.  Sales tax will also apply.
PAYPAL accepted only for items being shipped to a buyer's PAYPAL CONFIRMED PHYSICAL address. Buyers need to choose the correct address at time of checkout. Putting a different address on the paypal notes or emailing us to ship to a different address will not be accepted.
